Lead AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in NYC, NY (On-site)

Salary: $160,000—$230,000 USD

What you will do

• Design and develop AI-native architectures embedding LLMs into ITSM and CMDB workflows.
• Own complex systems end-to-end, including architecture, deployment, and production reliability.
• Build distributed, event-driven systems and APIs to handle data and inference at scale.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to infuse AI into every layer of the platform.
• Mentor engineers and champion best practices in AI tooling adoption and code quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and API design.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, or AI agent frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, Rust, or Java.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, event-driven systems, and CI/CD.
• Must be able to work on-site five days a week in the Manhattan office.
