SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Technical Lead

Location: Hybrid role in Wilmington, Delaware, or Colorado, United States

Salary: $127,680–$199,500 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

hirify.global is establishing SAP Business Technology Platform capabilities to support ERP modernization, process automation, integrations, data services, and future digital solutions.

What you will do

• Establish and operationalize the SAP BTP Center of Excellence, including governance, standards, reusable patterns, and delivery guardrails.
• Define BTP’s role in the enterprise architecture supporting S/4HANA and adjacent business platforms.
• Lead architecture and development approaches for side-by-side S/4HANA extensions aligned with clean core principles.
• Design and oversee SAP and non-SAP integrations using APIs, event-driven architecture, hybrid patterns, Integration Suite, and Event Mesh.
• Provide hands-on leadership across Extension Suite, SAP Build, HANA Cloud, workflow, automation, and data services.
• Mentor developers, architects, and analysts while driving documentation, knowledge transfer, quality reviews, and reusable asset creation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP architecture, design, and development.
• 3+ years of recent hands-on SAP BTP experience, including Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, HANA Cloud, Event Mesh, and security or identity concepts.
• Experience supporting S/4HANA transformation programs, especially brownfield or hybrid modernization environments.
• Strong understanding of clean core principles and SAP-recommended S/4HANA extensibility patterns.
• Ability to communicate architecture and development direction to executives and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing or leading a BTP Center of Excellence, platform team, or shared services model.
• Development experience with CAP, Node.js, Java, SAPUI5/Fiori, APIs, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native design.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API management, Cloud Integration, SAP Build, workflow automation, and business rules.
• Experience with AI-enabled or data-driven BTP solutions and enterprise transformation programs.
