Senior Software Engineer II of Trading (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York, United States; 2–3 days per week in the Soho office required

Salary: $174,000–$210,000 annual salary plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Build and improve trading functionality powering the hirify.global Marketplace.
• Design scalable, resilient trading-platform architecture with a focus on performance and low latency.
• Deliver software, estimate work accurately, and own production changes, monitoring, and runbooks.
• Participate in design reviews, define technical direction, and maintain high engineering standards through code reviews.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with Product, Design, Engineering, internal teams, and external partners.
• Solve complex engineering challenges, particularly within code-generation frameworks, while mentoring and unblocking other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years with compiled object-oriented languages such as TypeScript, C#, or Java.
• At least 2 years of experience with dynamic scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Experience with real-time data processing, event-driven systems, WebSockets, Kafka, SQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MySQL.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, managing production deployments, and working with cloud platforms, Git, GitHub, and JIRA.
• Experience in private markets or financial services, especially financial market data, plus strong collaboration, mentoring, and delivery skills.
