AI Engineer (LLM)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, Silicon Valley, London, or Copenhagen

Salary: $200,000–$400,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Lead AI development from concept through production deployment and iteration.
• Design LLM-powered systems that understand complex technical and chip design specifications.
• Develop multi-agent, reinforcement learning, and agentic code-generation systems.
• Build strategies for latency, output variance, and graceful error handling in production.
• Integrate AI capabilities into the platform in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish AI development best practices.

Requirements

• Experience delivering production AI systems involving language models, preferably with document understanding or agentic workflows.
• Strong software engineering skills, including distributed systems and production-grade code.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, Hugging Face, and transformers.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models.
• Experience preparing large-scale, heterogeneous datasets and explaining complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with hardware design, hardware verification, or EDA tooling.
• Experience deploying AI systems in mission-critical or high-stakes environments.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure for large-scale AI infrastructure.
• Research or applied experience with LLM agents, reinforcement learning, constrained decoding, or program synthesis.
• Open-source contributions or AI/ML publications.
