What you will do
- Drive research on complex challenges like temporal segmentation, multi-hour context, and structured output generation.
- Design rigorous experiments and evaluation methods for multimodal problems with ambiguous ground truth.
- Strengthen research approaches by reframing problems and sharpening hypotheses.
- Collaborate with ML Engineers to translate research advances into production-ready system designs.
- Communicate research findings to inform technical direction across the team.
Requirements
- Significant research experience in multimodal LLMs, large-scale distributed training, temporal modeling, or computer vision.
- Track record of driving research on problems with significant technical ambiguity.
- Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
- Exceptional experimental judgment and ability to draw clear conclusions from empirical results.
- Strong communication skills and experience strengthening research through collaboration.
Nice to have
- Experience with structured output generation or data curation for model quality.
- Experience with large-scale distributed training in high-performance GPU environments.
- Experience defining research direction within a team or project.
- MS, PhD, or equivalent practical experience in Machine Learning or Computer Science.
