What you will do
- Lead embedded software architecture for AI-enabled camera systems, including sensor integration, image processing, and real-time inference pipelines.
- Optimize production C++ code for resource-constrained hardware while balancing detection accuracy, power consumption, and processing speed.
- Design reliable embedded systems for varied weather conditions and large-scale deployments.
- Own integration with camera sensors, communication modules, and power-management systems using standard embedded protocols.
- Collaborate with AI and backend teams on computer-vision model deployment and critical data transmission.
- Establish testing, debugging, and field-troubleshooting practices while mentoring engineers and setting technical standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of production embedded software development experience with C/C++ and demonstrated technical leadership.
- Deep knowledge of real-time programming, memory management, hardware interfaces, and system-level optimization.
- Production experience with camera systems, image processing, or computer-vision applications.
- Advanced embedded debugging, testing, and performance-optimization skills.
- Understanding of power management, thermal constraints, environmental conditions, and architectural trade-offs.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, communicating complex concepts, mentoring engineers, and establishing technical standards.
Nice to have
- Experience with edge AI inference, embedded Linux, real-time operating systems, or outdoor and industrial embedded deployments.
- Background in safety-critical or automotive systems.
