Manager, Applications Engineering (AI Sensors)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; on-site. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Base salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical resource for customers and sales teams during product evaluations, integrations, troubleshooting, and technical escalations.
• Partner with Product Management and R&D to define the sensor product roadmap, conduct competitive analysis, and represent customer requirements.
• Lead product demonstrations, application notes, reference designs, and customer-facing technical documentation.
• Lead and develop a globally distributed Applications Engineering team, driving technical excellence, collaboration, performance, and career growth.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to connect customer feedback with product strategy and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in the semiconductor or sensors field.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience, including performance management, decision-making, conflict resolution, and team leadership.
• Experience bringing products to mass production in high-volume consumer electronics devices.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEMS sensors, audio, vibration, audio DSP, semiconductor manufacturing, audio algorithms, or audio AI applications.
• Strong product presentation and cross-functional engineering collaboration skills.
