Pricing Data Scientist

What you will do

• Develop a deep understanding of quote, policy, and claims data to generate insights for pricing improvements.
• Own a strategic pricing initiative, such as supporting expansion plans or protecting renewing customers.
• Conduct claims analysis, claims modelling, and price optimisation using SQL and Python.
• Build and deploy pricing models in APIs for real-time pricing.
• Identify and evaluate external data sources that improve claims-risk modelling.
• Work with Engineering and MLENG to implement pricing proposals and support new product launches.

Requirements

• Ability to interrogate data and conduct pricing analysis using SQL and Python or R.
• Ability to build GLMs, GBMs, and other claims models using Python or R.
• At least 3 years of experience in a data-driven, ideally commercial, role.
• Proactive, commercially minded, curious, and able to take end-to-end ownership.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-experts and build relationships across the business.
