Pricing Data Scientist (Insurance)

What you will do

• Develop a deep understanding of quote, policy, and claims data to generate pricing insights.
• Own strategic pricing initiatives supporting expansion and customer retention.
• Conduct claims analysis, claims modelling, and price optimisation using SQL, Python, and R.
• Build and deploy models through APIs for real-time pricing.
• Identify and evaluate external data sources that improve claims-risk assessment.
• Work with Engineering and MLENG to implement pricing proposals and support new product launches.

Requirements

• Experience interrogating data and conducting pricing analysis with SQL and Python or R.
• Ability to build GLMs, GBMs, and other claims models using Python or R.
• Experience in a data-driven, ideally commercial, role such as quant, credit, or fraud.
• Commercial focus, ownership, curiosity, and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in London.
