Principal Data Scientist (AI)

Location: London TVC, United Kingdom; 2 days a week in the office

Salary: £78,000–£84,000 per year, plus a London Weighting Allowance of £5,441

What you will do

• Lead data science projects across hirify.global’ lines of business, including automated decision-making, synthetic audiences, and customer research applications.
• Develop data-driven decision-making capabilities, including automated tagging and metadata-focused solutions for discoverability and recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership on problem definition, algorithm selection, and data-source evaluation.
• Own end-to-end delivery from ideation and proof of concept through production deployment.
• Communicate insights, impact, and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
• Monitor developments in generative AI and apply them where appropriate.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data science or a closely related role.
• Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
• Professional background in media, customer research, or a related area.
• Excellent Python programming skills and good working knowledge of SQL for querying large datasets.
• Experience building machine learning models and deploying them into production.
• Experience shaping projects, solving ambiguous business problems, interacting with senior stakeholders, and leading technical workstreams.
