Fullstack Product Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site five days a week in San Francisco, California, or New York City, New York, United States

Salary: $140,000–$210,000 base per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Own customer-facing product features from concept through production across frontend, backend, APIs, data models, and AI-powered workflows.
• Lead frontend implementation for complex products using strong judgment in architecture, state management, performance, and application design.
• Improve the performance, maintainability, developer experience, and technical quality of a large React application.
• Build reusable abstractions, components, and frameworks that help accelerate product development.
• Partner with product and design to turn ambiguous customer problems into polished user experiences.
• Evaluate and operationalize AI coding agents and AI-assisted development workflows.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Exceptional frontend fundamentals and experience with large React applications.
• Product mindset with ownership of customer-facing features from idea through launch.
• Experience partnering with product managers and designers on ambiguous product problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ownership, and ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, React, Storybook, and data visualization libraries such as Visx, D3, or Chart.js.
• Experience improving frontend performance, application architecture, build systems, or developer experience at scale.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, operational software, support tooling, or workflow-heavy products.
• Experience using AI coding agents in daily development workflows.
