Field Applications Engineer (Analog Power Management)

Location: Nagoya, Japan; travel within the assigned region of up to 50% required

What you will do

• Provide technical support to customers and sales channel partners across the assigned territory.
• Support the development of power management ICs and system-level solutions for consumer, imaging, PC peripheral, portable, networking, and automotive applications.
• Coordinate technical matters with the factory in California and the design center in China.
• Manage joint development programs with customers and contribute to new product specifications.
• Identify potential customers, applications, and opportunities for relevant products.
• Communicate with global teams on new product promotion and future product ideas.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in analog power management electronics.
• Design experience with power electronics circuits; DC/DC experience is mandatory.
• Fluent spoken and written Japanese is required.
• Oral and written English proficiency is required.
• Understanding of common power supply architectures and PWM IC operation.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with motor driver design.
• Ability to evaluate EVB and customer board performance on a bench.
• Experience developing strong customer relationships.
