Satellite RF Hardware & Operations Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead the design, integration, and lifecycle management of RF hardware across UHF, S-band, L-band, and Ka-band communications and radar systems.
• Manage in-house ground station infrastructure and coordinate third-party ground station providers, including service quality, availability, compliance, and maintenance.
• Plan and execute RF testing, validation, verification, EMI characterization, and compliance activities.
• Perform link budget analysis, interference analysis, performance characterization, troubleshooting, and RF asset monitoring.
• Lead or support ITU filings, spectrum coordination, licensing, and regulatory compliance with external partners.
• Work with systems engineering, flight operations, software, and mission teams to translate operational needs into RF requirements and roadmap plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with RF systems across multiple frequency bands from UHF through Ka-band.
• Experience managing or operating satellite or radar ground stations.
• Background in RF testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with ITU processes, spectrum filings, regulatory coordination, licensing, and compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience managing third-party ground station networks.
• Experience in satellite communications or space-related programs.
