Location: Remote in the Philippines; UK business hours

What you will do
- Prepare monthly management accounts for residential property portfolios and compare actual results with budgets and forecasts.
- Support month-end accounting, including revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments, and financial transaction processing.
- Reconcile bank, merchant services, and card accounts and investigate discrepancies with the finance team.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and analysis of capital and development spend.
- Manage property-related transactions, including utilities, council tax, sales invoices, and intercompany recharges.
- Support purchase ledger activities, VAT returns, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of general accounting experience across different finance areas or multiple ledgers.
- Experience assisting with management accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial transaction processing.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Must be able to work remotely from the Philippines during UK business hours.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with UK accounting practices and VAT.
- Experience in property accounting, property management, real estate, or a related industry.
- Experience learning and using accounting or financial systems.
