Sr. Principal – Server Firmware & System Architecture (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Define end-to-end AI platform architectures from node-level designs through composable rack-scale systems.
• Architect PCIe-based fabrics for disaggregated compute, memory, and accelerator scaling.
• Lead integration of retimers, switches, and fabric controllers across AI infrastructure platforms.
• Drive server BIOS/UEFI, OpenBMC, Redfish, lifecycle provisioning, and firmware-hardware-software integration.
• Own platform performance strategy across PCIe topology, bandwidth, latency, CPU, memory, and multi-accelerator systems.
• Collaborate with silicon vendors, hyperscalers, OEMs, ODMs, and ecosystem partners while influencing standards and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in system architecture, server firmware, or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in server BIOS/UEFI, OpenBMC and BMC firmware stacks, and Redfish or datacenter management frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe architecture and performance optimization across Gen4, Gen5, and Gen6.
• Experience tuning CPU, memory, and system-level performance for high-performance computing or AI platforms.
• Strong programming experience in C/C++ and low-level system software, plus a record of leading large-scale cross-functional architecture initiatives.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience with rack-scale composable infrastructure, disaggregated architectures, AI training clusters, or hyperscale datacenters.
• Expertise in high-speed interconnects, platform lifecycle management, fleet automation, open-source firmware, or industry standards bodies.
• Experience defining multi-year technical roadmaps and influencing executive strategy.
