Infrastructure Engineer (Robotics/AI)

Location: On-site in San Mateo, CA or Somerville, MA

Salary: $200,000 – $350,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own and manage large-scale GPU compute fleets for distributed training.
• Ensure high utilization and ease of use of GPU resources for research teams.
• Optimize ML data loading, transport, and storage systems in highly distributed environments.
• Orchestrate inference fleets for robots operating in compute-constrained environments.
• Develop custom solutions to maximize cloud and on-prem infrastructure performance.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in San Mateo, CA or Somerville, MA.
• Experience managing large fleets of GPUs for long-term training or inference.
• Deep expertise in Slurm or Kubernetes for ML workload orchestration.
• Proven ability to build high-scale ML data loaders and preparation systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of ML hardware, storage, and networking stacks.
• Experience working within the Nvidia GPU ecosystem.
