Platform Engineer (TypeScript/Node/React)

Location: San Francisco Office, on-site

Salary: $183K–$250K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain user-facing platform features including billing, authentication, onboarding, and settings.
• Integrate and maintain third-party APIs such as Stripe, Firebase, and analytics services.
• Develop TypeScript/Node backend services and React frontend components.
• Improve reliability and performance across core platform flows.
• Implement observability, logging, and error-tracking standards.
• Design APIs, document architecture, and collaborate across teams on new products and integrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and shipping production full-stack web applications.
• Familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Firebase, plus basic CI/CD knowledge.
• Strong debugging, cross-system troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or collaborative web platforms.
• Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, or Firebase Auth.
• Exposure to Sentry, Datadog, or Grafana.
• Experience building internal tools or admin dashboards.
• Startup or 0-to-1 product-building experience.
