Location: New York, NY or Boston, MA, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week in office. Applicants residing in or willing to relocate to the New York City, Boston, Research Triangle, or San Francisco Bay Area may be considered.
Total compensation range: $204,500–$267,000, plus equity, comprehensive benefits, and perks.

What you will do
- Lead development of deep learning models for medical image analysis, with emphasis on MRI and X-ray data for clinical trials.
- Design automated pipelines for disease detection, segmentation, and quantitative analysis across therapeutic areas.
- Develop longitudinal imaging methods to monitor disease progression, treatment efficacy, AI-based biomarkers, and surrogate endpoints.
- Integrate imaging AI solutions into clinical trial protocols and workflows in collaboration with clinical operations.
- Partner with regulatory teams to align imaging biomarkers and AI models with FDA standards for clinical trial endpoints.
- Build scalable infrastructure for large-scale, multi-site medical imaging datasets and present findings to executives and external partners.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, or a related field focused on medical imaging.
- 5+ years of post-PhD industry experience developing production-grade AI models for medical imaging.
- Deep expertise in computer vision and deep learning architectures, including CNNs, U-Net, and Vision Transformers.
- Hands-on experience analyzing MRI and X-ray images, working with DICOM standards, and using medical imaging software.
- Strong Python programming skills and expertise with PyTorch or TensorFlow and medical imaging libraries.
- Ability to collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams and communicate complex imaging analytics to diverse stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with regulatory submissions involving imaging endpoints or AI-based image analysis tools.
- Experience with multimodal imaging fusion, clinical trial design, or imaging core lab operations.
- Knowledge of federated learning, privacy-preserving techniques, radiomics, and quantitative imaging biomarkers.
- Experience with 3D image reconstruction and volumetric analysis.
