hirify.global is a Europe-based fusion company developing hardware and infrastructure for commercial stellarator fusion power plants.

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and extend workflows for characterising fusion plasma performance.
  • Build lightweight integrated models and high-fidelity HPC simulations using high-performance scientific code.
  • Develop, refactor, test, and document production-quality simulation tools with modern software workflows and LLM-based assistants.
  • Communicate modelling results and collaborate with physicists, numerical modellers, and engineers on stellarator design requirements.
  • Validate and benchmark numerical models against theory and relevant experimental data.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master’s degree in physics, mathematics, or computational physics.
  • Experience building numerical tools from governing equations through formulation, implementation, and validated simulation results.
  • Proficiency in one or more of Python, Julia, C++, or Fortran.
  • Experience with modern software development workflows and high-performance computing.
  • Ability to use LLM-based development tools while understanding their limitations and failure modes.
  • Proactive problem framing and a collaborative approach to working with physicists, numerical modellers, and engineers.
