What you will do

  • Design and demonstrate ultra-low-power devices for silicon qubit control and readout.
  • Develop electronics based on nonlinear reactive elements, including silicon quantum-dot quantum capacitance and thin-film superconducting kinetic inductance.
  • Combine the developed devices with silicon qubit structures and validate their operation.
  • Design and carry out complex experiments independently.
  • Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

  • PhD in physics or engineering.
  • Proven experience developing quantum-limited amplifiers such as JPAs or TWPAs.
  • Experience with high-frequency electronic simulation software, including Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, or CST Microwave Studio.
  • Familiarity with AWGs, microwave signal generators, and IQ demodulators.
  • Knowledge of Python for data acquisition.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with deep-cryogenic measurement systems.
  • Experience characterizing silicon-based nanoelectronic devices dynamically.
  • Knowledge of quantum information systems and operations.
  • Ability to supervise research students.
