Location: United States; based out of the location in Charlotte, NC. The role requires 4-5 days of in-office attendance, regular in-person meetings and events, and domestic and international travel.
Salary: $280,000-$340,000 annual base salary.

What you will do
- Define and execute the enterprise verification and validation strategy across vehicle systems, software, hardware, and integration.
- Build and lead a high-performing V&V organization supporting software-defined vehicle development.
- Establish validation frameworks using digital twins, simulation, virtual verification, HiL/SiL/MiL, CI/CD pipelines, automated regression testing, and fleet data analytics.
- Partner with systems engineering, software, hardware, product, manufacturing, and quality teams to maintain end-to-end requirements traceability.
- Drive adoption of MBSE, SysML v2, digital thread practices, scenario-based validation, AI-assisted test generation, and GenAI-supported requirements and test reviews.
- Ensure validation readiness, safety-case development, compliance, resource planning, budget management, and executive reporting.
Requirements
- Masterβs degree or Ph.D. in electrical, mechanical, systems, or computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years of automotive engineering experience, including senior leadership in verification and validation of complex vehicle systems, software-defined vehicles, and/or electric vehicles.
- Deep expertise in MBSE, SysML v2, digital thread, digital twins, continuous validation, simulation, and test automation.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end requirements traceability, HiL, SiL, MiL, scenario-based testing, CI/CD validation, automated regression testing, and validation toolchains.
- Experience with fleet and connected-vehicle data, AI-assisted test generation, coverage analysis, machine learning for defect prediction, and GenAI review workflows.
- Knowledge of automotive safety, cybersecurity, regulatory, and quality standards, including ISO 26262, SOTIF, and safety-case development.
