Security Architect (AI)

Location: San Francisco HQ; in person 5 days a week, with one company-wide remote week per month

Salary: $250,000–$400,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure, research clusters, platform APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and production systems.
• Own identity and access management, including SSO, hardware authentication, endpoint security, device management, and least-privilege policies.
• Establish security monitoring, logging, incident response, vulnerability assessments, and remediation workflows with engineering teams.
• Develop security policies, documentation, and compliance frameworks for enterprise requirements.
• Manage physical security systems, including office access controls, visitor management, badge readers, and facility security.
• Respond to digital and physical security incidents and build a security culture prepared for sophisticated threats.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering.
• Strong foundation in cloud security with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with identity management, SSO, and access control systems.
• Experience with SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance frameworks relevant to enterprise customers.
• Ability to operate as a security generalist across cloud infrastructure, firewalls, IT systems, and physical security.
• Ability to take deep ownership of protecting people and systems.

Nice to have

• Experience at an early-stage startup or building security programs from scratch.
• Background in ML infrastructure or familiarity with ML training workflows.
• Experience with physical security, access control systems, and facility security.
