VP of Mission Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in Tukwila, Washington; willingness to work from Tukwila is required.

Salary: $225,000 annually, plus 0.05%–0.1% equity.

hirify.global develops satellite servicing missions using its Otter servicing vehicle, including satellite life extension and low Earth orbit disposal missions.

What you will do

• Develop engineering work plans and execution strategies for commercial and government opportunities.
• Evaluate engineering and program decisions throughout the full lifecycle of mission opportunities.
• Review and approve mission-related engineering analyses supporting customer commitments.
• Review critical customer-facing technical deliverables.
• Validate technical scope, schedule, and pricing before customer proposals and contract awards.
• Coordinate engineering decisions directly with commercial and government customers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required; ITAR eligibility or the ability to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations is also required.
• B.S. degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience planning and executing aerospace programs, ideally involving satellites.
• Understanding of systems engineering, orbital dynamics, and hardware engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, and first-principles problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with commercial satellite operators or U.S. government space customers.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
