Developer Infrastructure Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own and evolve a fast, hermetic, and reliable build system for a growing multi-language codebase.
• Design and operate pre-merge and post-merge CI/CD pipelines that detect regressions and produce reliable release artifacts.
• Build packaging, versioning, signing, and delivery pipelines for system software, application code, and compiled ML models.
• Define development containers and dependency management that remain consistent with the Linux image running on the robots.
• Build and operate OTA updates with staged rollouts, canarying, rollback, and verification.
• Improve local development workflows, feedback loops, and failure diagnostics for robotics software delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial work with build infrastructure, developer tooling, CI/CD, or software delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Bazel, Buck, CMake at scale, or a similar modern build system in a large multi-language codebase.
• Strong CI/CD experience, including pipeline design, test infrastructure, and improving signal-to-noise.
• Working knowledge of Docker or OCI containers and Linux as a deployment platform.
• Experience deploying software to production environments such as cloud systems, embedded devices, or fleets, including versioning, rollback, and safe rollout practices.
• Ability to work with C++, Rust, or Go and Python.

Nice to have

• Direct Bazel experience in a polyglot C++, Python, and ML model toolchain.
• Experience building or operating OTA update systems for embedded devices, vehicles, robots, or similar fleets.
• Experience packaging and deploying ML models through registries, versioning systems, or compiled/exported artifact pipelines.
• Familiarity with artifact signing, supply chain security, or reproducible builds.
• Experience working alongside runtime, robotics, or ML teams.
