Senior Embedded Firmware Developer (E-Mobility)

Salary: €74,000 gross annual total compensation, including a 30% variable bonus based on goal achievement.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers and programmable logic applications, primarily in C.
• Define firmware architectures and support board commissioning for new hardware platforms.
• Develop low-level drivers and firmware modules for ADCs, GPIOs, timers, CAN, I2C, and SPI interfaces.
• Integrate system and application software and ensure robust hardware-software integration throughout the development lifecycle.
• Test, debug, and validate software in target and test environments, including troubleshooting field issues and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to functional safety activities, architecture documentation, code reviews, test specifications, and compliance with relevant industry standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience developing embedded software for ARM-based microcontrollers.
• Excellent knowledge of C and C++, with good knowledge of VHDL.
• Experience with MCU peripherals, CAN, I2C, SPI, and on-chip debugging and tracing tools.
• Fluent English and fluency in German and/or Italian are required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and structured working skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of functional safety standards such as IEC 61508 or ISO 13849.
