Senior Tools Development Engineer (COSMOS Platform Software)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Base pay: $165,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain COSMOS Explorer GUI and COSMOS CLI for configuring, monitoring, and debugging hirify.global products.
• Develop desktop applications, command-line utilities, automation tools, and reusable frameworks using C#, C, C++, and Python.
• Build software that communicates with hirify.global silicon for telemetry, diagnostics, validation, and product configuration.
• Create automated testing and validation infrastructure to improve software quality and accelerate product releases.
• Debug system-level issues across applications, firmware, drivers, and hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, validation, and product engineering teams while providing technical leadership for the COSMOS platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming experience in several of C#, C, C++, and Python.
• Experience developing modern object-oriented software applications.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Desktop application experience with Avalonia, WPF, MAUI, WinUI, or Qt.
• Experience building software tools, SDKs, utilities, automation frameworks, or developer productivity applications.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, Windows, Linux, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience communicating with hardware over PCIe, Ethernet, USB, I²C, SPI, or similar interfaces.
• Knowledge of server architecture, storage systems, networking equipment, AI infrastructure, firmware, embedded software, device drivers, silicon validation, PCIe, CXL, or other high-speed interconnects.
