What you will do

• Pioneer research in open-endedness, recursive self-improvement, AI Scientist systems, and efficient model training.
• Work on hirify.global’s core models, including systems designed to train AI Scientists to replicate research.
• Develop an independent research project aligned with hirify.global’s mission.
• Use industry-scale compute and frontier hardware to explore new research directions.
• Participate in designing and evaluating organisational experiments.
• Collaborate with other fellows and receive mentorship from experienced researchers and engineers.

Requirements

• Current PhD student status is required; the fellowship is intended for exceptional doctoral researchers.
• Research background or strong motivation in AI research, open-endedness, recursive self-improvement, AI Scientist systems, or efficient model training.
• Availability for the 14-week Winter 2027 Fellowship running from January to April.
• Ability to work in person every day at the London headquarters.
• Motivation to collaborate, participate in organisational experiments, and pursue publishable research.
