What you will do

• Operate Illumina MiSeq, NextSeq, and NovaSeq platforms and execute high-quality next-generation sequencing workflows.
• Design, optimize, validate, troubleshoot, and scale sequencing workflows to improve data quality, throughput, and reproducibility.
• Prepare and quality-control libraries for 10x Genomics single-cell RNA sequencing, bulk RNA sequencing, CRISPR-based assays, and targeted sequencing.
• Support Perturb-seq, pooled CRISPR screens, guide sequencing, and other functional genomics programs.
• Collaborate with Functional Genomics, Automation, and Computational Biology teams to develop automated workflows and datasets suitable for downstream analysis and AI/ML applications.
• Maintain sequencing instruments, manage samples and reagents, document experiments in ELN/LIMS, and evaluate emerging genomics technologies.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Functional Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, or a related discipline with 2+ years of industry experience, or a comparable M.S./B.S. background with equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Illumina sequencing platforms and 10x Genomics workflows, including 3′, 5′, ATAC, Multiome, or Flex.
• Strong expertise in NGS library preparation, single-cell and bulk RNA sequencing, CRISPR-based sequencing assays, and targeted sequencing.
• Experience designing, optimizing, validating, and troubleshooting complex genomics experiments independently.
• Experience with sequencing quality control, library characterization, experimental documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, provide technical leadership, and communicate findings to scientific audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in a genomics core facility or high-throughput sequencing laboratory.
• Experience developing automated library preparation workflows.
• Experience with molecular cloning, cell engineering, lentiviral workflows, or other functional genomics techniques.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools, NGS data quality assessment, and sequencing analysis pipelines.
• Experience supporting AI/ML-driven biological research or evaluating emerging sequencing technologies.
