Satellite Operations Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role based at the Louisville, Colorado office, with the option to work a few days per week remotely. Travel up to 5%.

Salary: $110,000–$145,000 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Lead satellite launches and commissioning campaigns for autonomous operations.
• Perform spacecraft analysis, maintenance, and on-orbit anomaly response.
• Develop and automate operational procedures and tools.
• Test and deploy satellite software updates.
• Support special projects and demonstrations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and collaborate on highly autonomous spacecraft operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with astrodynamics, guidance, navigation and control, electrical engineering, communications systems, thermal engineering, embedded software, and propulsion, with significant experience in at least one area.
• Experience with Git or another version control system.
• Must meet U.S. export-control and ITAR requirements as a U.S. person or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
