Senior GNC Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annually

hirify.global is developing satellite infrastructure for the orbital economy, including space-based power generation, infrared laser energy transmission, on-orbit computing, and high-bandwidth optical data systems.

What you will do

• Develop guidance, navigation, and control systems for a new orbital-class launch vehicle.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary vehicle systems investigations and define systems architecture.
• Implement software and algorithms for mission-specific capabilities and launch vehicle performance.
• Build six-degree-of-freedom dynamics simulation models for GNC analysis and validation.
• Analyze launch vehicle trajectories, performance dispersions, and flight stability.
• Support launch and mission operations, including GNC software testing with hardware-in-the-loop, Monte Carlo analysis, and unit testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Experience with control systems, orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with launch vehicles, spacecraft, missiles, hypersonics, UAVs, or defense systems.
• Experience supporting flight testing or mission operations.
