TL;DR
Payroll Analyst (Global Payroll/AI Automation): Supporting monthly multi-country payroll operations, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and vendor coordination with an accent on General Ledger accuracy, advanced Excel analysis, and process automation. Focus on resolving payroll discrepancies, posting journal entries, improving workflows with AI-driven tools, and supporting audits and year-end reporting.
Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office work from the Prague office is required

What you will do
- Manage and resolve employee payroll inquiries through the ticketing system and respond to questions from HR, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with third-party payroll providers and internal teams to support accurate, timely monthly payroll processing.
- Verify, validate, and reconcile payroll data from HR systems and external partners.
- Prepare and post payroll results, perform GL reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Maintain payroll controls and support year-end reporting, audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Identify workflow weaknesses and implement process improvements using data insights, AI-driven tools, and automation.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, including in-house and vendor-managed payroll.
- Understanding of payroll accounting, GL posting, reconciliation, and payroll-to-ledger mapping.
- Experience with multi-country payroll operations, preferably through a global payroll vendor.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, lookups, and data modeling.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English required; the role is expected to be performed from the Prague office.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP/SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, or similar HR systems.
- Familiarity with chatbots, RPA, AI-enhanced analytics, or workflow automation platforms.
- Additional European languages.
