Senior Technical Product Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in the US; hybrid schedules are available for candidates based in the Chicago, IL or El Dorado Hills, CA metro areas. Qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, due to GovCloud involvement.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and market direction for a secure remote access solution.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities using customer needs, market trends, competitive intelligence, and business impact.
• Define product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, execution plans, and product success metrics.
• Partner with Engineering on connection protocols, session management, authentication, integrations, performance, and platform architecture.
• Work with customers, Solutions Engineering, Support, Security, Sales, Marketing, and Documentation to validate requirements, improve adoption, and support launches.
• Shape credential-free access, session brokering and recording, policy enforcement, auditing, access controls, deployment, troubleshooting, and monitoring workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience with technical, infrastructure-focused, or cybersecurity products.
• Direct experience in privileged access management, secure remote access, infrastructure access, zero-trust access, or a related cybersecurity market.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, credential handling, session brokering, auditability, networking, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Familiarity with SSH, RDP, VNC, TLS, cloud, hybrid, and on-premises deployment environments.
• Experience delivering infrastructure-focused, security-sensitive, or integration-heavy product capabilities in Agile software development environments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to qualify as a U.S. Person. A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with products such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, Teleport, StrongDM, HashiCorp Boundary, or similar platforms.
• Experience with session recording, remote access gateways, credential-free infrastructure access, or connections to servers, databases, Kubernetes, and cloud workloads.
• Hands-on experience with C, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, multi-cloud, zero-trust, least-privilege, or just-in-time access environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted product development or technical research workflows.
