Technical Content Lead (Quantum Computing)

Location: Cambridge, UK; hybrid

Salary: £70,000–£100,000 per year, plus bonus and equity. Part-time applications are also considered.

What you will do

• Develop technical content across blogs, articles, white papers, video, and other formats.
• Translate complex scientific and engineering concepts into clear, accurate stories for technical and commercial audiences.
• Lead flagship thought leadership content, including the annual Quantum Error Correction Report and updates to the QEC technology roadmap.
• Communicate breakthroughs in quantum error correction, fault-tolerant quantum computing, and the wider quantum ecosystem.
• Identify channels and opportunities to engage technical audiences and improve content impact using data insights.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, product, marketing, and commercial teams to align messaging and data.

Requirements

• Degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience communicating advanced technology and creating high-quality technical marketing or science communication content across multiple formats and channels.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain highly complex scientific or technical concepts clearly and accurately.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with scientists, engineers, and technical subject matter experts.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on content creation and manage projects from concept through publication.
• Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, curiosity, and commitment to technical accuracy.

Nice to have

• Experience in quantum computing, semiconductors, AI, photonics, advanced computing, or enterprise software.
