Staff Technical Communications Lead (Quantum R&D)

Location: Based onsite at the Boston, Massachusetts office; hybrid and remote options may be available for the right candidate. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally. U.S. Person status or applicable export-control authorization may be required for access to restricted technology and government-contract work.

Base salary: $111,692–$145,649 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Translate quantum computing concepts, research, and product developments into accessible web, blog, presentation, and thought-leadership content.
• Develop technical highlights that communicate hirify.global’s innovations and differentiate its approach.
• Partner with R&D teams to understand workstreams, milestones, and priorities and build a structured communications pipeline.
• Ensure technical accuracy while adapting messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support R&D leaders with conferences, panels, publications, and other external engagements.
• Track quantum ecosystem developments and enable scientists and engineers to communicate their work externally.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in technical writing, scientific communication, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Strong ability to turn complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
• Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.
• U.S. Person status or applicable export-control authorization may be required for restricted technology and government-contract work.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MS or PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience in quantum computing or deep tech.
• Experience supporting prototype-to-product transitions in a communications role.
