What you will do

• Lead technical planning, architectural design, and software execution for advanced DSP and SDR systems supporting embedded security research.
• Serve as an RF subject matter expert, mentor engineering staff, and solve complex communications, signal collection, and electronic warfare challenges.
• Reverse engineer COTS devices and complex RF protocols, derive transmission parameters, isolate PRN codes, and synthesize custom RF waveforms.
• Guide laboratory build-outs, define software toolchains, select SDR platforms, and validate generated signals with RF test equipment.
• Contribute to project scheduling, budget preparation, technical proposals, white papers, and business development efforts.

Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or equivalent military or intelligence-community experience, plus 9+ years in DSP, SDR development, and RF reverse engineering.
• Technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers, guiding deliverables, and contributing to proposal efforts.
• Experience reverse engineering RF protocols and COTS devices, generating custom waveforms, and decoding PRN codes.
• Hands-on experience implementing SDR solutions on COTS platforms in Linux, using FSK, PSK, and QAM modulation schemes, and validating results with RF test equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPS L1/L2, GNSS, SATCOM, QBPSK, BOC, and satellite simulation software such as AGI STK.
• Firmware reverse engineering experience with Ghidra.
• Knowledge of FEC, Viterbi and Reed-Solomon decoding, interleaving, and framing analysis.
• Experience writing technical white papers, presenting at technical panels, or supporting SIGINT and electronic warfare proposal capture.
