Field Applications Engineer (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Support pre-sales technical engagements with customers and partners.
• Answer technical questions during evaluations, procurement, and integration discussions.
• Translate customer requirements into technical recommendations and solutions.
• Prepare proposals, grant applications, customer documentation, and partner communications.
• Work with engineering and product teams to communicate product capabilities and limitations accurately.
• Assist with hardware setup, integration, field support, and customer-facing technical events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or field applications engineering.
• Strong embedded systems background, including firmware and hardware integration.
• Experience with PCB hardware, embedded devices, and drone systems.
• Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Practical, hands-on approach suitable for both laboratory and field environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with drones, robotics, RF systems, or edge AI platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems, wireless communications, telemetry, or autonomous systems.
• Experience with enterprise, defense, or government customers.
• Experience contributing to technical proposals, SBIRs, grants, or RFP responses.
