What you will do

• Implement, maintain, and optimize autopilot firmware and firmware stack for drones.
• Design and test new autopilot functionalities and integrate flight control algorithms from Matlab/Simulink.
• Develop and optimize BSP, peripheral, and sensor drivers within a real-time operating system.
• Build and maintain firmware for flight tests, including creating test tickets and post-flight data analysis.
• Create unit tests and debug code to ensure coverage and functionality.
• Maintain firmware update ecosystem including bootloaders and production tools.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Kyiv region or ready to relocate
• English: Minimum B2 level required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software or electrical engineering with several years of embedded systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of microcontrollers (ARM, Cortex-M), real-time OS (FreeRTOS, uCOS II), and hardware communication interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, ETH).
• Experience with multi-threading, task scheduling, and inter-task communication in embedded systems.
• Proficient with version control tools like git and collaborative agile development.

Nice to have

• Experience bridging hardware and software with understanding of electronic schematics and hardware constraints.
