Middle C++ Software Engineer (AOSP)

What you will do

• Develop accessories for conference room cameras running on the latest Android OS.
• Integrate Qualcomm, HAL, and Services layers while maintaining backward compatibility with legacy devices and existing features.
• Work with AOSP and system-level Android development, including product development from scratch.
• Contribute to Scrum activities and software development lifecycle improvements.
• Collaborate with an engineering team and a world-leading partner to deliver end-user products.

Requirements

• 2+ years of C++ experience, including C++14/17, smart pointers, RAII, and move semantics.
• 1+ year of Android platform development experience with AOSP builds, Android.bp/Android.mk, and vendor HAL integration.
• Experience with native C/C++ development on Android and the Camera HAL3 interface.
• Familiarity with Qualcomm CamX/Chi-CDK architecture, including nodes, pipelines, and use case XML.
• Experience debugging with logcat and tombstone/crash dump analysis; understanding of Binder, AIDL/HIDL, gralloc, and Android IPC.
• Knowledge of concurrency, thread-safe coding for latency-sensitive camera paths, Linux fundamentals, shell scripting, and diagnostic tools. Fluent upper-intermediate English is required.
