NY Licensed 1099 Mental Health Therapist

Location: Fully remote within the United States; availability during therapy hours of 8am to 3am ET, seven days a week.

Compensation: $95 per completed 60-minute intake session; $80 per completed 45-minute follow-up session; $30 per no-show appointment; $60 per hour for monthly therapy training and all-hands meetings.

What you will do

• Deliver virtual therapy to college students using evidence-based interventions, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
• Conduct biopsychosocial intakes, diagnostic assessments, and individualized treatment planning.
• Use the collaboration portal to support students and coordinate care with campus treatment providers, supervisors, and peers.
• Maintain timely and accurate records of clinical interactions.
• Identify and manage escalating risk scenarios and collaborate with leadership during critical patient situations.
• Work with administrative support staff to improve student care from initial outreach through resource provision.

Requirements

• Active independent clinical licensure in New York, such as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LMHC.
• Experience conducting thorough biopsychosocial intakes and clear diagnostic assessments.
• Ability to develop appropriate treatment plans and provide respectful, culturally sensitive care to diverse students.
• Ability to manage escalating clinical risks effectively.
• Reliable computer with a quality video camera and stable internet connection for virtual therapy.
• Availability for at least 8 hours per week during the academic year, including preferred evening or weekend availability.
