Sr. DevOps Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; 4 days per week in the Central Austin office and Fridays remote

What you will do

• Automate software deployment and infrastructure management in collaboration with development and operations teams.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable software releases.
• Create and manage infrastructure as code for cloud-based and on-premises environments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and support high availability and scalability.
• Manage AWS infrastructure, automation tools, security controls, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system emergencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, including implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines at an early-stage company at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Python.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, AWS, infrastructure networking, and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and log management tools such as Prometheus and ELK, plus database administration for SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Must work from the Austin office four days per week; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Relevant DevOps or cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
