What you will do

• Develop robust manufacturing processes for complex mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies from concept through production readiness.
• Validate process capability and manufacturing readiness for product launches and transfer to Manufacturing Operations.
• Lead product industrialization across Engineering, Global Supply Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and contract manufacturing partners.
• Develop scalable tooling, fixturing, automation, and material flow for high-volume production.
• Drive yield, quality, process capability, cycle time, and throughput targets.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for complex manufacturing and product-quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another technical field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in New Product Introduction and Process Engineering within advanced manufacturing environments.
• Subject matter expertise in mechanical and opto-mechanical assembly processes, including manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixturing, material flow, manufacturing automation, and final assembly, test, and pack.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing process development, process capability, process failure mode and effects analysis, and process validation.
• Proven success developing manufacturing processes from concept through production readiness.
• Ability to lead complex, cross-functional product industrialization efforts through technical influence and sound engineering judgment.
• Ability to partner with contract manufacturers to develop and validate processes for high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with technical and business stakeholders across functions and organizations.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering field.
• Experience applying Lean Six Sigma principles to supplier development, supplier performance, and manufacturing operations.
