Product Designer (AI)

Location: New York City; in-person, 5 days a week in office. Candidates must be located within the New York City metropolitan area or be open to relocation.

Salary: $205,000–$320,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve user experiences across hirify.global's product surfaces.
• Identify patterns across user needs and the product to increase the impact of simulation software.
• Ship product improvements quickly while advancing the platform design system.
• Create high-quality prototypes that accelerate engineering through agentic workflows.
• Experiment with and advance AI-native design workflows.
• Help hire designers who raise the quality bar.

Requirements

• Experience releasing products or leading product design.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and novel technical domains.
• Strong product judgment, clear communication, and ability to explain and defend design decisions.
• Proficiency with AI tools while maintaining independent design judgment.
• Ability to work quickly while recognizing when additional polish is needed.
• Willingness to challenge decisions constructively and adapt based on feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience building a design system for a platform or developer product.
• Experience shipping 0→1 product surfaces.
• Contributions to open-source or production codebases.
