Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Remote, based in Ukraine; Kyiv or Lviv

What you will do

• Maintain hardening and configuration baselines for endpoints and servers, including encryption, security policies, and compliance benchmarks.
• Deploy and manage endpoint protection, antivirus, EDR/NGAV, device management, firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls.
• Enforce identity and access management practices including RBAC, least privilege, MFA, privileged access management, and periodic access reviews.
• Run vulnerability scans, prioritize risks, track remediation, and review cloud, SaaS, infrastructure projects, and third-party integrations.
• Monitor logs and security events, investigate and remediate incidents, and document timelines, root causes, runbooks, and hardening guides.
• Support internal and external audits while collaborating with IT and DevOps engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or cybersecurity engineering with a clear security specialization.
• Experience administering and hardening Linux, Windows, and macOS systems using MDM solutions.
• Experience with endpoint protection, device management, vulnerability management, SIEM/SOC monitoring, and incident-response workflows.
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN, with practical firewall and network security experience.
• Hands-on experience with IAM and SSO platforms, security frameworks, attack detection and prevention methods, and risk prioritization.
• English proficiency required for documentation, vendors, and external partners.

• Security automation experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of cloud security controls.
• Security certifications.
• Experience in enterprise or critical-infrastructure environments.
