SRE - Linux (Kubernetes)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid work schedule with office presence required

Annual base salary: $164,300–$222,300, plus potential discretionary bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Administer, secure, tune, and troubleshoot production Linux systems and enterprise application delivery platforms.
• Architect and maintain CI/CD platforms using CloudBees Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including automation, integrations, credentials, and scalability.
• Manage GitHub Enterprise, Jira, JFrog Artifactory, Nexus IQ Firewall, JFrog Xray, and GitHub Advanced Security.
• Implement automation and infrastructure as code with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Support Kubernetes workloads, improve reliability and operational efficiency, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, remediation, and compliance activities for SOC and SOX controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, or enterprise systems administration.
• Expert Linux/Unix administration experience in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, Jira, and Artifactory administration.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, scripting and programming such as Python or Bash, networking, Kubernetes, Docker, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with application security tooling, DevSecOps, SOC/SOX compliance, audit controls, and troubleshooting complex production issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with secure CI/CD pipelines, developer productivity platforms, and enterprise platform engineering.
• Familiarity with LDAP, SSO, RBAC, OpenStack, VMware, vulnerability management, patching, and system hardening.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
