Staff Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Salary: $131,300–$223,200 per year

What you will do

• Execute standardized rehost, replatform, redeploy, and refactor migration patterns from on-premises environments to AWS.
• Design and operate an application migration factory with automation pipelines, runbooks, deployment frameworks, and cutover orchestration.
• Build AWS infrastructure and platform components across compute, storage, networking, databases, middleware, container registries, and Amazon EKS.
• Drive VM-to-container migrations and Kubernetes-based microservices deployment models.
• Develop Terraform modules, reusable deployment templates, CI/CD pipelines, and Python and Bash automation.
• Execute data migration, validation, cutover, troubleshooting, and post-migration stabilization while meeting security, reliability, compliance, and cost requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–15+ years of total experience, including at least 7 years in cloud engineering or migration roles.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services and large-scale application migrations.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, self-hosted CI/CD runners, Terraform, Kubernetes, IAM, identity federation, and enterprise cloud landing zones.
• Experience with observability, database and data migration, hybrid networking, multi-environment deployments, and artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost optimization, tagging strategies, and cost visibility.
• Experience with AWS Application Migration Service, AWS DMS, GitOps, or ArgoCD.
• AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes-related certifications.
• Experience in large-scale transformation programs or Agile delivery models.
