TL;DR
Spacecraft Systems Analysis Engineer (Aerospace): Performing system-level modeling, simulation, and performance analysis for satellite platforms with an accent on multidisciplinary spacecraft subsystems, trade studies, and design verification. Focus on developing physics-based analyses, correlating models with hardware tests, predicting thermal, radiation, and debris environments, and guiding spacecraft-level design decisions.

Location: On-site in the Greater Seattle Area, United States

Salary: $115,000–$145,000 annually

Company

hirify.global is developing satellite infrastructure for orbital energy transmission, on-orbit computing, and secure high-bandwidth optical data.

What you will do

  • Build system-level models and simulations to evaluate spacecraft performance across multiple subsystems.
  • Own analyses in areas such as structures, loads and dynamics, thermal, radiation, reliability, power, fluids, MMOD, demise, or optical brightness.
  • Perform trade studies and sensitivity analyses to optimize spacecraft performance, mass, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, GNC, and software teams on design and integration decisions.
  • Define analysis-driven requirements, margins, verification strategies, and test-correlation plans.
  • Prepare technical documentation and contribute analytical recommendations to PDR and CDR reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of engineering analysis experience; internships and relevant projects count.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience or academic exposure to at least one spacecraft analysis domain, including structural, thermal, radiation, reliability, power, MMOD, fluids, or optical analysis.
  • Familiarity with engineering simulation tools such as FEA, thermal modeling, MATLAB, or Python.
  • Strong foundations in physics-based modeling, numerical methods, and engineering principles.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ANSYS, NASTRAN, Thermal Desktop, COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink, or Python.
  • Experience applying analysis to aerospace hardware, multidisciplinary optimization, model validation, or test correlation.
  • Familiarity with space-environment effects, high-reliability systems, or safety-critical engineering.
  • Experience integrating analysis workflows with CI/CD or automated pipelines.
  • Prior experience at a space, aerospace, or deep-tech organization.

Culture & Benefits

  • Equity in hirify.global.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
