Fraud Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with three days per week in the office: Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional day of choice. Extra remote time may be requested.

What you will do

• Design and deploy real-time decisioning strategies that combine machine-learning scores with velocity features.
• Translate payment-fraud patterns into rules while optimizing false-positive rates and gross fraud loss.
• Investigate account takeover and social-engineering schemes and develop end-to-end mitigation strategies.
• Define analytical requirements for new product features and third-party data signals with Product and Engineering.
• Operationalize machine-learning models with Data Science by combining model scores and heuristic rules.
• Monitor rule effectiveness and portfolio health, and present data-driven risk recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional experience in risk, payments, or credit.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis and strategy development.
• Solid understanding of payment-fraud dynamics and real-time decisioning environments.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning or data science.
• PySpark or GraphQL knowledge.
