Senior Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize machine learning and statistical models for retail demand forecasting.
• Develop demand sensing, demand forecasting, simulation, stochastic modeling, and supply chain analytics solutions.
• Apply clustering, regression, ensemble learning, neural networks, time series forecasting, and optimization techniques.
• Analyze complex datasets, assess analytical approaches, and communicate recommendations using metrics such as forecast accuracy, bias, and MAPE.
• Develop modules and APIs for real-time integration with external systems through web services.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, solution architects, consultants, and data engineers to deliver scalable AI/ML solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in time series forecasting at scale, preferably in retail or supply chain domains.
• Hands-on experience with hierarchical forecasting and heuristic-based best-fit models using LightGBM, ARIMA, Prophet, and exponential smoothing.
• Experience with demand planning, supply planning, market intelligence, inventory optimization, or pricing strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, feature engineering, model tuning, validation, and scalable ML frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, independent-working, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, databases, and ETL tools.
• Exposure to Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MapReduce, or other distributed computing technologies.
• Experience implementing planning or supply chain applications.
• Understanding of supply chain concepts and retail planning processes.
• Master’s degree in a relevant technical, analytical, business, or operations field.
