Sr. Network Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design and implement fault-tolerant enterprise and mission-critical network architecture aligned with NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53.
• Deploy, configure, secure, and maintain wired, wireless, firewall, and cloud network infrastructure.
• Architect and manage Azure networking topologies, including Hub-and-Spoke, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, and VPN Gateways.
• Support real-time, low-latency telemetry and video broadcast streams for mission operations.
• Automate network and firewall configuration with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, while monitoring performance and troubleshooting outages.
• Serve as the networking escalation point, mentor engineers, participate in on-call rotations, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain architecture documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure; 6+ years of network engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience with routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, enterprise firewalls, and cloud or hybrid-cloud networking.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, or Silver Peak, or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, RADIUS, TACACS+, IPSec, Multicast, 802.1X, VRRP, or HSRP, plus NIST/CMMC requirements.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and mission-critical or regulated environments is preferred.
