Software Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; onsite four days per week

Salary: €55,000–€80,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end features across web applications and backend services.
• Build secure, performant, scalable solutions with a strong focus on user experience.
• Write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering designs, delivery plans, and implementation tasks.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers across cross-functional teams.
• Manage and debug features from testing environments through production.

Requirements

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in building modern web applications and REST APIs and services.
• Experience integrating automated testing into the development lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, readable, properly tested code.
• Interest in client-facing projects, including scoping requirements and defining deliverables.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• Knowledge of banking or finance and experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Proficiency in Golang or Python.
• Understanding of UX and UI principles, Figma, UI frameworks, or visual design.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, microservices, networking, or Kubernetes.
