Full Stack Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Remote with occasional meetings in the Washington, DC metro area; U.S. Citizenship required.

Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, and support complex cloud-native web applications.
• Build reusable React components, SPAs, client-side routing, state management, forms, data visualizations, and backend integrations.
• Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Design and optimize AWS solutions for scalability, performance, observability, reliability, interoperability, and security.
• Apply TDD and automated unit, integration, API, and front-end testing practices.
• Collaborate with customers, product owners, testers, and end users through discovery, UAT, demonstrations, releases, and post-release validation.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack web application development and AWS application delivery.
• Professional experience with React, TypeScript, SPAs, responsive design, Tailwind CSS or comparable frameworks, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, backend services, system integrations, PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases, and Docker-based applications.
• Experience with automated testing, Git workflows, code reviews, CI/CD, application security, authentication and authorization, secrets management, logging, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience using AI-enabled development tools and critically reviewing, testing, and securing AI-generated code. A bachelor's degree in a technical field is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal clients or government contracting environments.
• Experience with secure generative AI workflows, Section 508/WCAG accessibility, Next.js, Node.js, Express, or NestJS.
• Experience implementing structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
